Kelly Slater is a self-taught artist. For the past eight years she has worked towards the goal of achieving her own distinct artistic voice through the exploration of saturated color and figurative abstraction in a variety of media–including the painterly monotype; watercolors; and ink and brush paintings. Figurative abstracts of landscapes and plants—especially trees– are her current focus.
