I am a self-taught artist who specializes in intensely colored abstracts in both oils and water-based media. Although my interest in art is longstanding, I was truly bitten by the bug to create art when I visited the National Gallery in D.C. during a major Rothko retrospective. My particular artistic heroes include Van Gogh, Rothko, Matisse and Seraphine de Senlis. Current areas of concentration include monoprints and small minimalist paintings. I live in Saugus with my husband, sculptor John Wilkinson, whom I met at North Shore Community College in Lynn.
